Rare 1980s Memphis Style Murano Glass Chandelier / Pendant Lamp
Unknown for I TRE
A rare 1980s pendant lamp designed and produced in Murano, Italy, by I Tre. Established in 1975, I Tre played a pioneering role in Venetian glassmaking by blending traditional Italian artisan craftsmanship with bold, cosmopolitan contemporary design. Designed in the postmodernist Memphis style, the fixture consists of three stacked, hemispherical hand-blown Murano glass shades in blue, green, and white, mounted on a chromed steel stem. The white shade retains the original manufacturer's label. The wiring allows for dual switching, enabling the upper lights, lower lights, or all lights to be operated independently. The hand-blown glass elements remain intact with no chips or cracks. The chrome plating on the central stem, ceiling cap, and hardware shows minor pitting, surface oxidation, and age-related wear.
