Percival Lafer

Brazilian designer and architect born in 1936, Percival Lafer founded his own company in São Paulo and became known in the 1960s and 1970s for leather lounge chairs and sofas on wooden or metal frames. His MP series, with its generous, sculptural curves, was widely exported, notably to the United States. Collectors look for pieces in original leather, whose patina adds to their relaxed modernist character.
