Janine Abraham & Dirk Jan Rol

Janine Abraham and Dirk Jan Rol were a French and Dutch design duo working in Paris from the 1950s. Together they created chairs, armchairs and tables for manufacturers such as Meurop, using metal rods, bent wood, cane and upholstery in light, graphic structures. Their work is characteristic of the rational modernism of post-war France. Collectors look for original upholstery and finishes, which keep the delicate balance of their designs.
