Forma Brazil

Forma was founded in São Paulo in 1955 by Carlo Hauner and Martin Eisler, both European émigrés, and became one of Brazil's leading modern furniture manufacturers. It produced their designs alongside licensed international models, notably from Knoll, and briefly involved the young Sergio Rodrigues. Pieces combine jacaranda and other Brazilian hardwoods with steel, leather and cane. Collectors value original Forma production from the 1950s and 1960s with period labels.
