Ecart International
Ecart International is the company founded in Paris in 1978 by Andrée Putman to reissue neglected masterpieces of modern design. Its catalogue revived works by Eileen Gray, Robert Mallet-Stevens, Jean-Michel Frank, Pierre Chareau and Mariano Fortuny, among others, and helped restore their reputations. Ecart editions are valued for their faithful construction and fine materials, and collectors look for early production with the Ecart marking, especially the Eileen Gray pieces.
