Alexander Rodchenko

Russian artist (1891-1956) and a founding figure of Constructivism, Alexander Rodchenko moved from painting to photography, graphic design and furniture in the service of a new society. He taught at the Vkhutemas in Moscow and designed the Workers' Club shown at the 1925 Paris Exposition, with modular wooden furniture in black, red and grey. Collectors value his photographs, prints and faithful editions of his furniture for their rigorous geometry.
