Verner Panton

Danish designer (1926-1998) who worked for Arne Jacobsen before creating his own radical vision of colour and form. His Panton Chair, the first cantilever chair moulded in one piece of plastic, was produced by Vitra from 1967, and his Flowerpot lamp and immersive Visiona installation of 1970 defined Pop interiors. Collectors seek early productions and original lighting, whose colours remain striking.
