Tobia & Afra Scarpa

Tobia Scarpa (born 1935) and Afra Scarpa (1937-2011) were an Italian husband-and-wife team of architects and designers. They designed for Cassina, B&B Italia and Flos, creating works such as the Soriana sofa (1970) and the Biagio lamp in marble (1968). Tobia also worked in glass at Venini. Collectors appreciate their designs for their sculptural quality and their respect for materials.
