Tang Haywen
Chinese-born painter Tang Haywen (1927-1991) moved to Paris in 1948 and spent his career there. Working largely in ink and watercolour, often in diptychs, he joined the gestures of Chinese calligraphy with the freedom of Western abstraction, producing landscapes that hover between form and void. Collectors look for signed works on paper, particularly well-preserved diptychs and larger ink compositions with strong tonal contrast.
