Salvador Dalí

Spanish artist Salvador Dalí (1904-1989) brought Surrealism into furniture and objects. With the patron Edward James he created the Mae West Lips sofa in the late 1930s, and later works, such as the Leda chair and Dalílips sofa, were edited in Barcelona by BD. His objects, jewellery and editions translate his dreamlike imagery into material form. Collectors look for authenticated works and authorised editions with documentation.
