René Martin

René Martin, known as Ciseaux, was a French cabinetmaker whose work appears alongside that of Charlotte Perriand, including a dining table attributed to both. His furniture, in solid wood with straightforward construction and careful joinery, belongs to the French tradition of simple, well made modern furniture. He remains little documented. Collectors look for pieces with clear attribution and provenance.
