René Joubert & Philippe Petit

René Joubert co-founded the Paris firm DIM (Décoration Intérieure Moderne) in 1919 and was joined by Philippe Petit in 1924. Together they created Art Deco furniture, lighting and interiors in macassar ebony, lacquer, metal and glass, evolving towards a more modernist vocabulary by the late 1920s. DIM supplied a sophisticated clientele, and collectors seek stamped pieces and documented commissions.
