Rainer Daumiller

Designer working in Denmark in the 1970s, known for furniture in solid pine made by Hirtshals Savværk, a sawmill in northern Jutland. His dining chairs, carver chairs and tables have robust, generous forms, with solid wood left visible and simple joinery. These rustic yet refined pieces have been rediscovered and reissued in recent years, and collectors seek original 1970s examples with a warm patina.
