Poul Volther

Poul Volther (1923-2001) was a Danish furniture designer who designed for several Danish manufacturers. His Corona chair of 1964, produced by Erik Jørgensen, with its stacked elliptical cushions on a steel frame, remains his best known design. He also designed dining chairs and case furniture in solid wood. Collectors look for early Corona chairs with original leather or upholstery.
