Philippe Barbier

French lighting designer who worked from the 1960s to the 1980s, largely through the family firm Maison Barbier. His table lamps and floor lamps use ceramic, metal, resin and glass, often in forms inspired by nature, such as pineapples, gourds or silvered spheres. They were sold through fine decorating shops and are appreciated today for their colour, craftsmanship and warm decorative spirit.
