Paul Jacquet
French ceramicist (1883-1968), born in Pers-Jussy in Haute-Savoie, known for Art Deco stoneware and earthenware of the 1920s and 1930s. His vases and pots feature strong, simple forms with rich, sometimes flowing glazes and geometric decoration. He worked in the tradition of studio ceramics that flourished in France between the wars, and collectors value his signed pieces for their glaze quality and assured forms.
