Paul Iribe
Paul Iribe (1883-1935) was a French illustrator and designer. He produced the album Les Robes de Paul Poiret (1908) and designed furniture for the couturier Jacques Doucet in the 1910s, anticipating Art Deco with rare woods, shagreen and stylised roses. He later worked in Hollywood, notably with Cecil B. DeMille. Collectors value his rare furniture and his graphic work as early expressions of French Art Deco.
