Novo Rumo
Novo Rumo was a Brazilian furniture maker active in the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s, producing modernist pieces in the country's native hardwoods. Its lounge chairs, benches, tables and cabinets often feature solid jacaranda or other tropical woods with ribbed or slatted details, caning and leather upholstery. Collectors look for pieces in jacaranda, with sound construction and original surfaces, as part of the wider interest in Brazilian mid-century design.
