Michel Dumas
French designer Michel Dumas worked in the 1970s and became associated with furniture in acrylic glass. His chairs, coffee tables, bedside tables and storage pieces use thick Plexiglas bent and assembled into sculptural, transparent forms, some of them distributed by Roche Bobois. Collectors look for pieces in clear, unscratched acrylic with sound joints, which best convey the lightness and optimism of his designs.
