Melchiorre Bega

Melchiorre Bega (1898-1976) was an Italian architect and designer from Bologna, later active in Milan, where he designed the Galfa tower. Trained as a decorator, he worked on interiors, furniture and objects and directed the magazine Domus for a period in the 1940s. His furniture, often in fine woods with brass and glass, shows Italian modernism with a classical sense of luxury. Collectors seek documented pieces from his interiors.
