Martin Visser

Dutch designer Martin Visser (1922-2009) was the main designer of the furniture firm 't Spectrum from the mid-1950s. His work combines steel frames with wood, leather and upholstery in simple, elegant forms, including sofa beds, lounge chairs and cabinets. He was also an important collector of modern art. Collectors look for 't Spectrum editions of the 1950s and 1960s with original frames, valued for their clarity and understated modernity.
