Marolles
Les Artisans de Marolles was a workshop founded by the sculptor Jean Touret in Marolles, in the Loir et Cher, after the Second World War. It gathered craftsmen working in carved oak, wrought iron and other materials, producing furniture, lighting and objects with a rustic, sculptural modernism rooted in French craft traditions. Collectors look for pieces from the 1950s with strong carving and a warm, natural patina.
