Maison Charles

Parisian bronze house founded in 1908 by Ernest Charles and later led by his son Jacques Charles. From the late 1950s it became known for lighting in gilt bronze and brass inspired by nature, with models such as the Ananas, Bambou and Lotus lamps. Its pieces furnished elegant interiors worldwide. Collectors look for signed examples, especially the more sculptural designs, in their original patina.
