Jacques Pouchain

Jacques Pouchain (1925-2015) was a French ceramist and sculptor who worked in Dieulefit, in the Drôme, for most of his career. He produced vases, dishes, lamps and sculptures in stoneware and earthenware, with simplified animal and human forms and soft, matte glazes. He also trained many younger potters. Collectors seek signed pieces from the 1950s and 1960s, especially sculptural lamps and larger vases.
