Jacques Innocenti
French ceramicist and painter who worked in Vallauris in the 1950s, when the town was a centre of postwar ceramic creation. His pitchers, vases and serveware feature lively painted decoration and expressive, hand-built forms in the spirit of the Vallauris school. Collectors appreciate the spontaneity of his glazes and the pictorial quality of his decoration, which reflects his parallel practice as a painter.
