Jacques Couëlle
Jacques Couëlle (1902-1996) was a French architect and self taught builder known for organic houses he called sculptures habitées, such as the Castellaras estate near Mougins and projects on the Costa Smeralda in Sardinia. He also designed furniture and lighting with the same free, sculptural approach, using plaster, resin and stone. Pieces are rare, and collectors value them as fragments of his architectural vision.
