Guido Faleschini

Italian designer known above all for his work with Mariani (i4 Mariani) in the 1970s. His chairs, tables, desks and cabinets are wrapped in thick hand-stitched leather, often in cognac or dark brown, and set on chrome or steel frames, as in the Sara lounge chairs of around 1971. Collectors appreciate the tactile quality of the saddle leather and the way it ages, and seek pieces with Mariani labels.
