Gio Ponti
Milanese architect Gio Ponti (1891-1979) shaped modern Italian design for half a century. He founded the magazine Domus in 1928, directed Richard-Ginori's ceramics, worked with Fontana Arte, and designed the Superleggera chair for Cassina (1957) and the Pirelli Tower. His furniture joins lightness, wit and craftsmanship. Collectors look for documented pieces from his collaborations with makers such as Giordano Chiesa, Cassina and Fontana Arte, and for project-specific furniture.
