Gilardi & Barzaghi

Gilardi & Barzaghi was a Milanese lighting manufacturer active in the post-war decades, particularly the 1950s and 1960s. Its production of floor, table and ceiling lamps used brass, lacquered metal, perforated sheet and glass in the light, articulated vocabulary of Italian mid-century lighting. The firm stood alongside makers such as Stilnovo and Arredoluce. Collectors look for pieces with original lacquer and fittings, which retain their period character.
