Geoffrey Harcourt
Geoffrey Harcourt is a British designer, trained at the Royal College of Art, who designed extensively for the Dutch manufacturer Artifort from the early 1960s. His lounge chairs, in moulded shells with stretch fabric upholstery on metal bases, show the enveloping, sculptural forms that defined Artifort alongside Pierre Paulin. Many models remained in production for decades. Collectors look for early editions in original upholstery or carefully restored examples.
