Galerie Maison et Jardin was a Parisian decorating house founded by Jean Demachy in the years after the Second World War. It became known for elegant, neoclassical furniture and objects, often in lacquered metal, faux bamboo and gilt bronze, suited to both interiors and gardens. Its production, favoured by fashionable Parisian clients, is close in spirit to Maison Jansen. Collectors value its tables, seating and lighting for their refined, decorative lightness.
