Fontana Arte

Fontana Arte is a Milanese glass and lighting company founded in 1932 by Gio Ponti and Luigi Fontana. Under artistic director Pietro Chiesa, and later Max Ingrand, it became known for lamps, mirrors and furniture in thick curved, engraved and coloured glass combined with brass. Designs such as Chiesa's Luminator and Ingrand's lamps defined Italian luxury lighting. Collectors look for mid-century pieces with original labels, glass and fittings.
