Floris Fiedeldij

Floris Fiedeldij was a Dutch designer who created lighting for Artimeta, the metalwork company in Soest, in the 1950s. His Tivoli floor lamp of 1956, often called the grasshopper, and his Bambi table lamp show a light, graphic approach to lacquered metal, brass and perforated shades. His work is characteristic of Dutch postwar modernism. Collectors seek original Artimeta pieces with their first lacquer and complete adjustable elements.
