Emilio Lancia
Milanese architect Emilio Lancia (1890-1973) belonged to the Novecento generation that renewed Italian decorative arts between the wars. In the late 1920s he worked in partnership with Gio Ponti, notably on the Domus Nova furniture line for the La Rinascente department store, before pursuing his own architecture and interiors. His furniture combines neoclassical memory with modern simplicity. Collectors look for documented interwar pieces in fine veneers and later designs with bold, sculptural profiles.
