Elias Svedberg

Elias Svedberg (1913-1987) was a Swedish furniture designer who worked for Nordiska Kompaniet (NK), the Stockholm department store. With Lena Larsson and Erik Wørts he developed the Triva series in the 1940s, one of the first ranges of flat-packed, self-assembly furniture. His designs, often in birch, elm or teak, are practical and understated. Collectors of Swedish modernism appreciate his chairs, tables and storage for their honest construction.
