Édouard Schenck
Édouard Schenck (1874-1959) was a French ferronnier d'art whose Paris workshop produced wrought ironwork for decorative interiors. Active from the early twentieth century through the Art Deco period and beyond, he made grilles, gates, lighting and fireplace equipment, including andirons shaped as animals such as ducks, rams or dogs. Collectors value his ironwork for its crisp geometry, lively animal motifs and the refinement of his forging.
