Ebbe Gehl & Søren Nissen

Danish architects Ebbe Gehl and Søren Nissen formed a design partnership in the 1970s, producing furniture for Danish makers including Jeki Møbler. Their work follows the Danish cabinetmaking tradition with a lighter, more open structure: solid oak, teak or ash frames paired with cane, woven cord or leather. Lounge chairs, sofas and dining chairs from their collaboration are valued for their comfort, careful joinery and understated proportions.
