Coen de Vries
Dutch designer Coen de Vries worked in the 1950s, most notably for the Dutch manufacturer Devo, for which he designed metal furniture of a light, graphic character. His production includes modular wall systems, nesting tables and coat racks, often in painted steel combined with wood or brass. Collectors look for complete wall units with their original coloured panels and for pieces that preserve the cheerful, functional spirit of Dutch postwar design.
