Claude Wetzstein

Claude Wetzstein (1920-2001) was a French artist from Lorraine, working in the Nancy region with its long tradition of glass. He produced sculptures in pâte de verre, cast glass with deep, translucent colours, as well as carved wood sculptures. His glass works, often abstract or lightly figurative, are held in museum collections and appear in French sales. Collectors value signed pieces with rich colour and clean, uncut surfaces.
