Christian Dell
Christian Dell (1893-1974) was a German silversmith and designer who led the metal workshop at the Bauhaus in Weimar in the early 1920s. He later taught in Frankfurt and designed lamps for industrial production, notably the Kaiser Idell series for Gebrüder Kaiser, as well as Rondella models. His lamps, in lacquered steel with adjustable arms, are models of functional clarity. Collectors look for early examples with original lacquer and labels.
