Carlo De Carli

Carlo De Carli (1910-1999) was an Italian architect, designer and teacher, a central figure of postwar Milanese design and a long time professor at the Politecnico di Milano. His model 683 chair for Cassina received the Compasso d'Oro in 1954. His furniture, in solid and bent wood, brass and glass, is known for structural elegance and fine joinery. Collectors look for his work for Cassina and Sormani in original condition.
