Børge Mogensen

Børge Mogensen (1914-1972) was a Danish furniture designer trained under Kaare Klint. He headed the furniture design studio of the Danish cooperative FDB in the 1940s before a long collaboration with Fredericia Stolefabrik. His Spanish Chair (1958) and Hunting Chair, in solid oak and saddle leather, express his ideal of honest, durable furniture for everyday life. Collectors favour early production with well-patinated leather and oak.
