Barovier & Toso

Barovier & Toso is a Murano glass house whose Barovier family roots in Venetian glassmaking reach back to the Middle Ages. The present firm took shape after a merger with the Toso family works in the late 1930s. Under Ercole Barovier it became known for inventive colour and surface techniques, applied to vases, chandeliers and lighting. Collectors seek mid-century pieces with complex hot-worked effects and documented Barovier & Toso production.
