Antoine Poncet

Antoine Poncet (1928-2022) was a Franco Swiss sculptor, grandson of the painter Maurice Denis. He worked as an assistant to Ossip Zadkine and Jean Arp, and Arp's influence can be felt in his organic, abstract forms. He is known above all for marble and bronze sculptures polished to a flawless, luminous surface. His work was shown widely in France and Switzerland. Collectors favour signed marbles of balanced, intimate scale.
