Antoine Philippon & Jacqueline Lecoq

French designers Antoine Philippon and Jacqueline Lecoq worked in partnership from the mid-1950s, developing a rigorous, architectural vocabulary of furniture. Desks, tables, chairs and storage pieces combine rosewood or mahogany with lacquered steel, aluminium and glass, stripped of ornament and built with great precision. Produced in small numbers, their work is now championed by Paris galleries such as Jousse Entreprise and Demisch Danant and prized for its clarity of line.
