Alain Chervet

Alain Chervet, a French sculptor born in 1944, is known for the sculptural tables he produced from the 1970s into the 1980s. His pieces combine cast bronze and brass bases with glass tops, often built around animal figures such as ibex, mouflon heads or eagles. Treated as small sculptures as much as furniture, his coffee and dining tables appeal to collectors of French decorative design for their modelling and their theatrical, Regency-inflected presence.
